  1. Hi Ann. I just discovered your blog and signed up today. I LOVE your quilts and comments and look forward to following you. I would like to ask if the templates you used to make your version of Freddy Moran's Dot.com "You're a Life Saver" Quilt (Collaborate Again, p.67) are a named set and whether they are available somewhere for sale. Many thanks, Fran

    1. Hi, Fran. Freddy sells a set of templates. I forget exactly what she calls them but they go with her Freddy Dot Com quilts. I didn't use her templates because I had a similar (but NOT exact) set from Louisa Smith called Strips 'n Curves. She had a book about 8-10 years ago by the same name. Look at my post Racetrack vs. Drunkard's Path in 2016 for a comparison of the two templates. Louisa's look like Fair Play rather than DP. Also, her templates only have an arc on one side. I made some personal adjustments to create two arcs in each block. Not difficult but had to fold the fabric and take out a seam line.
Let me know if this helps. Ann

Unless it is a very personal message, I reply here where anyone can read and join in. It just seems friendlier.
